Last week I had a dream of my family being trapped in the house by the hurricane. Not just trapped, but water everywhere, etc.



I just got a phone call from my mother. My parents house is ruined. The storm was so bad that they had to take my kids and the dog and run to the neighbors two doors down. The house started to fall apart with them in it. The entire back porch is pretty much gone. You can see the sky in my parents bedroom and the kitchen. The house in inhabitable.



My kids were so scared. My daughter told my parents friend, JoAnn, that it was the scariest day of her life. Here I am in New Orleans and there isn't a damn thing that I can do.

Turns out it was a tornado that hit the house. I'm so relieved no one was hurt. I found out our HUGE mango tree in the back yard is completely uprooted and fell on the fence. It took the shed with it. The roots are so big, they are taller than my dad.



I got to talk to the kids tonight. They seem ok considering what they have been through. Alex though was kind of quiet. It turns out that he was extremely bothered by the huge hole in the kitchen ceiling. I don't blame him. I cried like a baby when I found out what happened today.

I fled from Katrina in August.



Right before I left South Carolina another hurricane was going to hit them. I left just in time.



Then I go to Florida where Rita hits us, though not badly.



I get recalled to New Orleans where we are hit by Rita.



I had to leave the kids in Florida because there is no child care in the area and the school is still closed.



My kids are in Ft. Lauderdale with my parents.



And now FUCKING WILMA is headed straight for them.



I'm very worried about my family.

My little boy is about to be a brother this morning. Alex has been wanting a little brother for a long time. It's really too bad that they will not live close to each other. =(

What the fuck is wrong with me???? It is 10:21 at night and I have water boiling for spaghetti and the oven preheating so I can bake a dutch apple pie.



GEEZE!!!!



Maybe it's because I ran out of cigarettes?



I need to be in bed for gods sake. I have to be at work at 6:30 in the morning!!!

Well, Saturday night was a fun time. I worked all day and decided to go out with a bunch of my friends that night.



We had a blast going to all of our favorite bars depending on what time it was (one of the areas still has a curfew)



We met up with more people at Vinny's. Then we all decided to go to Murphy's. Most everyone left except for me and another friend of mine.



We played pool until almost 6am Sunday morning.



I had to bring the person home but on the way there I got a flat tire. ACK



He changed the tire for me. Thank God. Otherwise I would have been so screwed.



That took forever so by the time I brought him home it was almost 7:30. He let me sleep on his couch for a few hours because I was starting to fall asleep standing up.



I woke up and got home about 9:00 and fell asleep on my couch at 9:30. I didn't wake up until 7:30 last night.



So of course because I got all that sleep, I was up most of the night on the VR. I had a blast talking to people that I haven't talked to in awhile.

In the past 10 months there has been more crap going on in the world than at any time in recent history. At least it seems that way:



Terror Tsunami

Devestating Hurricanes (though not only that, this has been a VERY BUSY hurricane season overall)



Torrential Floods in the Northeast



Earthquakes (especially the one that happened this past week)



Major Outbreak of the Bird Flu



Typhoons (Hurricanes in the East Pacific)



Race Riots



Civil Unrest all over the world



And of course the War in Iraq where God knows how many people die every day.



AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF THE YANKEES LOST TO SAN DIEGO!!!!!!!!!!! (sorry I really couldn't help myself with that one)

Someone mentioned illuminati in a poll today. I was talking with one of my friends about it a couple of months ago. I had never heard of it but it's something that just makes me wonder sometimes.

that I almost came home to nothing.



A few days after Katrina, one of the men who live in our subdivision came back to live. He had his shotgun, he had his generator. He was good to go.



Well, not long after he got back, 2 full busloads of looters turned into our subdivision. He walked out of his house and down the street shotgun in hand. And they were smart enough to turn right around and get the fuck up out of the place.



This is a true story........ I have not made up or exaggerated anything...



I know alot of you don't believe in God. And that is fine. But for me, I thank God for for keeping everything ok in my neck of the woods.

I have been home in New Orleans for about 2 weeks. There is only 1 day that I have not gone in to work. The one day I did have off, I was helping my friend who had a baby.



I am not complaining.....just giving a little backround info.



Because of my schedule, I have not had time to clean up my yard from Hurricane Katrina. It was a mini disaster area.



I got home early yesterday (for the first time!!) and I get a knock on my door. My neighbors from across the street offered to fix my yard up for me.



And they did a beautiful job. I am so greatful for their help because I'm not sure when I would have gotten to it.



Now it's time to buy a few thank you cards and bake some cookies!

For the 3rd time in about 18 months, I have killed another phone. This means I am now on my FOURTH one!!! GEEEEEEEEEEEZE



My phone dropped in my cup of water. Nothin was gonna save it.



Oh well...my new phone is really cool. LOL
